the Gerald Wallace Foundation

To provide life-changing opportunities for underserved children and their families with a special emphasis on recreational activities in Childersburg, Alabama, Gerald's hometown, and Gerald's NBA playing city. Gerald recently joined the Brooklyn Nets. Thank you Portlanders for all your support while Gerald played with the Trailblazers!

Gerald was inspired to establish the foundation, in part, by his experience helping to restore the Phyllis Wheatley Community Center gym. The foundation is intended to help centralize and coordinate Gerald's charitable efforts.

In 2011, the Gerald Wallace Foundation provided Erica Wilson with her own FES cycle with the help of Children's of Alabama. Erica has Acute Idiopathic Transverse, which requires physical therapy multiple times each week. Before receiving the cycle, Erica was forced to travel more than an hour to the nearest available cycle and was unable to get the therapy she needed. Today, Erica is thriving in a wheelchair basketball league.
